There is also the Lower Alpines Megalopolis, nestled in the foothills of the Elysian mountain chain, composed of Amenta, Grazza, and Fessio, which is both the fastest growing albeit the least populous of the three, and exists mostly as a result of the desertification of the northern Saccona Plain into the arid lands of the Saccona Desert, caused by a mysterious drought some centuries ago which covered much of the old Vivian Empire under sand, which locals ascribe to being the work of Galaxagos. The Brughiere Megalopolis, composed of Repan, Sul, Astralis, Trangresso, and Routes 4, 5, 6, 16, and 31, is where some 40% of the population lives, and exists mostly to the credit of the area's precipitation, mineral-rich soils, flat topography, and access to clean water from Lake Basteblu. Vivian's industrial backbone is cited as being in three main population centres. Within the games, there is a heavy emphasis on worldbuilding, with a handful of NPCs discussing the geography of Vivian. Its paganistic values, architectural style, and overarching culture of glory and reverence for the natural world is heavily observable in the modern society of Vivian, which borrows heavily (and sometimes wistfully) from its ancient ancestor. It would shortly collapse hereafter, ultimately creating the modern Vivian Region explorable today. However, one fated day Galaxagos was awakened beneath the Empire after several millennia of dormancy, and, enraged, released vice and corruption unto the Empire. According to legend, this success was brought by Burrmudail, giver of virtue and success. Its capital, Seminis, was once the largest city in the world.
It pioneered domesticating wild Pokémon and living in harmony with them as partners. It was centred around what is the modern-day Saccona Desert, once home to plentiful soils ripe for agriculture, unlike the badlands present today. In ancient times, Vivian was once covered by a great old Empire centred around paganism for Pokémon and the natural world. Vivian is a region, like Italy, heavily rooted in history and culture, and local towns and major cities are all, likewise, distinctly different. The region itself is heavily dominated by the Alpines, a mountain range which rises in the north and centre of Vivian, forming the large Saccona Desert in the south-east and trapping rain clouds in the north, forming the Brughiere Plains. Taking its basis from Italy, the Vivian Region consists of a variety of biomes including mountains, cliffs, rivers, forests, wastelands, deserts, tundras, swamps, meadows, plains, and urban towns and cities.
